The website of the Partnership for Cyber Security Innovation (PCSI) uses cookies. TNO is the owner of the PCSI website. Wherever in this cookie statement is referred to PCSI, TNO as owner of the website is meant. PCSI uses Google Analytics to measure the experience of visiting our website, the results of which are then used to improve this website experience. PCSI has set up Google Analytics to be privacy-friendly so that PCSI does not have to ask for permission to use it. PCSI has concluded a processing agreement with Google in which agreements are made to ensure that the processing of personal data by Google is in line with privacy legislation. To guarantee your privacy, PCSI has masked the last octet of your IP address, disabled data sharing with Google and does not use any other Google services in combination with Google Analytics cookies.
PCSI also uses Hotjar, a tool for user surveys to improve pcsi.nl. This tool enables PCSI to conduct qualitative research among website visitors and provides PCSI with a better insight into the information needs of the visitor. This can improve the user experience on the website. Participation is not compulsory and takes place anonymously, unless you provide contact details to PCSI yourself.
ADVERTISING COOKIES
PCSI uses advertising cookies to collect data from visitors to our website. We use this data for retargeting purposes. This means that PCSI can approach you via advertisements on social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn that you use. You have given permission to place these cookies, pixels and tags by accepting them via the cookie pop-up.
SOCIAL MEDIA
The PCSI website includes buttons to share the pages on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and LinkedIn. These buttons work by means of pieces of code that come from Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or LinkedIn themselves. This code is used to place third party cookies. You can use the cookie pop-up to indicate whether or not you accept these cookies.
If you accept these cookies, it also means that you will automatically enter the social media platform environment. PCSI is not responsible for the processing of any personal data via these platforms. For the cookies placed by the social media platforms and the data they collect with them, please refer to the privacy statement of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (which may change regularly).
The information is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp and Facebook adhere to the Privacy Shield principles and are affiliated with the Privacy Shield programme of the United States Department of Economic Affairs. This means that there is an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data by these companies.
EMBEDDED CONTENT
Some pages of the website use content that is hosted on other sites. This is called embedded content. Examples are: YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, podcasts via Soundcloud and Spotify. In a similar way to the social media buttons, these services often use third party cookies. More information about what relevant parties do with the cookies and personal data is in the privacy policy of the relevant service. We have no control over this.
DISABLE OR DELETE COOKIES
When you visit the PCSI website for the first time, a pop-up will appear in which you can indicate whether or not you accept cookies. For purely technical and functional analytical cookies, which are set in a privacy-friendly manner, we do not require permission, which is why they are enabled by default. PCSI is an initiative of and coordinated by TNO. TNO is the controller of personal data that is processed through the PCSI website. WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data means any information that is traceable to you as a person. Your name, your home address or email address are examples of personal data. On the website of the Dutch Data Protection Authority (the Dutch DPA) you will find more information about personal data and privacy legislation.
WHY DOES TNO USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Whenever you wish to receive information of PCSI, we need your details so that we can send the information. TNO also saves the data you provide when you request, for example, a newsletter. TNO may as well organize events for PSCI through the website and will need your personal data for this purpose. After registration for an event your personal data can be used for compatible purposes such as keeping you informed about upcoming events. In both cases, TNO uses your personal data based on the legitimate interest of TNO to provide for information and to organize events.
HOW LONG DOES TNO KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
TNO does not keep your personal data any longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is being held. If you have signed up to receive information from PCSI and you later sign off, TNO deletes your personal data. Whenever personal data is collected and furtherly processed to organize events your personal data may be stored for a longer period of time in order to inform you about upcoming events.
HOW DOES PCSI SECURE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
TNO ensures that your personal data are handled and kept secure with the greatest possible care. In order to optimally protect your personal data against loss, theft, unauthorized access or misuse. TNO and its processors take the necessary technical and organizational measures to keep your personal data secure, which includes the use of the latest IT security technology.
The registration process for PSCI events takes place through Cisco WebEx, an online tool to organize webinars. TNO has entered into a Data Processing Agreement to ensure GDPR compliance.
DOES PCSI GIVE PERSONAL DATA TO OTHER ORGANISATIONS?
PCSI adheres to the principle that it does not share your personal data with others. The data will not be sold. However, there are exceptions whereby TNO is required to give personal data to others. These are always exceptional circumstances, such as legal proceedings or crime prevention.
