webinar: Self-Healing for Cybersecurity

This event took place on 7 April 2025, Online (Microsoft Teams)

Why this webinar? Several years ago, an innovative “Self-Healing project” within the SRP/PCSI led to a first proof-of-concept of autonomous resilience software run in the ABN AMRO infrastructure. This PoC demonstrated the bio-inspired regeneration of software containers to enable cyber resilience for cloud applications. In 2021, a first version of the Self-Healing for Cyber Security (SH4CS) software for stateless, cloud-native applications was released as an open source software suite. After discussions with PCSI partners, sound technical feedback from ABN AMRO, a PCSI project on “zero-trust” and additional work on the integration of access control with self-healing, TNO is now proud to present to you the second version of our SH4CS software, which is available as open source as of 6th March 2025. You can find more information on the newest software version at https://cossas-project.org/portfolio/sh4cs/.

What will be covered? This PCSI webinar will feature the concepts and capabilities of TNO’s newest version of the Self-Healing for Cyber Security (SH4CS) software, which aims to make stateless cloud applications cyber resilient using concepts inspired by the human immune system. In particular, we will focus on the substantial improvements that have been made in SH4CS v2.0 with respect to the first software version, and on future development directions for deployment-level software regeneration. Furthermore, we take the webinar participants along in TNO’s exciting exploration of the complexity of bio-inspired cyber resilience for stateful applications.
